‘Stronger’ — a workout tracker that remembers.
Know exactly where you left off.
Log every exercise, every set, every weight — and walk up to any machine already knowing what you did last time.
The problem
A lot of beginners also quit the gym within two weeks, like me. And it isn’t a lack of discipline, but more a lack of intention, lack of motivation, and the inability to actually see it working.
Growing Stronger app was the solution for me, and all the users who’ve experienced it so far. I anticipate lifting heavier and seeing that PB celebration pop up on the screen (cheap dopamine hit? I’ll take it). I strive to fill that calendar up with purple dots for every time I show up. It takes weight off my mind knowing I’m actually incrementally increasing my weights, not just guessing what I did last time or racking my brain to remember. And I have it all in one place — my previous exercises when I need to reference them, witnessing the increased strength in a visual graph, and being mindful about how each session felt. We move so fast through this world, that taking time to reflect on your workout and check in with yourself, can be a small piece of self care for the day.
What it does
✓ It hands your weights back to you
Open any exercise and Stronger shows you exactly what you did last time — weight, reps, sets and your own notes. Everything comes pre-filled. You only change it when you're going up.
✓ Your strength, drawn out
Every weighted exercise builds its own graph over time, with how much you've gained since you started. Pin the three you're chasing so they're always first.
✓ See where your effort went
Every session breaks down by body part. Trained 43% glutes and nothing on back? Now you know.
✓ Name the machines whatever you want
"Blue one near the mirrors." "Upside down dolphin." Your notes appear every time, so you find it even when you don't know what it's actually called.
✓ A month that fills itself in
No streaks, no broken chains, no guilt. Just your training days appearing as coloured dots — which turns out to be more motivating than any streak ever was.
✓ Everything else
Rest timer · workout templates · session reflections · body measurements and progress photos · shareable stickers for your story · dark mode · kilos or pounds · 74+ exercises plus anything you add yourself
What it isn't
I’ve intentionally made this app with no programs, no meal plans, or calorie counting, or built in AI coach. Could I implement these things because I’m building my own app from scratch? Of course. But every. single. feature. you experience, is intentional and well thought out (as in, Stronger is what I think about when laying in bed at 9pm, and at work at 2pm, and definitely at the gym at 4pm). And nothing is uploaded, sold, or seen by anyone but you.
Hey, I’m Caitlin.
I created Growing Stronger. Three months ago I was messaging my partner photos asking "what machine is this?" or “how do I use this one?” whilst at the gym. I'd never lasted longer than the free 7 day trial period at a gym in my life — my social anxiety would get the best of me, or I’d just have no idea what to do other than the treadmill and some weighted lunges that a guy taught me when I was 18.
Until I chose differently, wanted to learn, and then found a way to make it stick.
I hired a personal trainer and told her I didn't want a program or to track my measurements — I just wanted to learn different exercises + machines. Two sessions in, I asked her how people keep track of what they lift, and she told me to just use my Notes app.
That sounded too messy and inefficient for me. I went home, searched the App Store, found nothing I liked, and built Stronger instead. I had 12 beta testers trying it out at their own gyms and at-home workouts before it launched, and a fair few features in it were their ideas!
I’ve been going to the gym 3 times a week ever since. Consistently, without fail. All because of this app.
Stronger is your reason to keep showing up.
